The last 10 years have seen a maturing of Design as a discipline. Gone are the days of designers working in isolation, fighting for their ideas – instead, Design is now a collaborative effort with designers having „a seat at the table“. The process of Design is democratized and frameworks such as Design Thinking, Design Sprints, and everything Agile have helped along the way. In turn, designers started to spread their influence beyond Design as a deliverable towards strategic work. But when everyone can and should do Design, where does this leave the designers? And when designers can and should do everything, what should they focus on? Where can Design bring the most value and have a meaningful impact?
Holger Eggert worked as a designer for over 20 years and thus has experienced this development first hand. Over the years he has developed a framework for Design that is focused on impact at different levels of granularity and maturity. In this talk he will explain this framework and show you how exactly he is talking to organizations about this. And he will bring his guitar again to have some musical impact as well.
