Because of the current situation INTERSECTION20 will not take place at Musikaliska in Stockholm. We are currently working on a new format for our conference. Subscribe to our newsletter to stay tuned or join the Enterprise Design Network if you would like to contribute ideas.

Our call for submissions is open until May 31.

Joining Forces

This is Intersection20, the 7th global conference about Enterprise Design. We bring together a global community with the shared ambition to design and build better enterprises.

We need better enterprises, now more than ever. Lack of purpose, disappointment, irrelevance, demise: the enterprise is in crisis. Beyond the next startup or intrapreneurship idea, we aim to innovate and transform enterprises and their ecosystem relationships, across public and private sectors and with actual outcomes at scale.

In this edition, we will take action together to make things happen. We are enterprise designers, architects and change makers, Joining Forces to help ambitious entrepreneurs of all kinds tackle the big challenges of our time. Building on the seeds of cross-discipline collaboration we achieved, we are growing a global network of enterprise designers. And we jointly develop the Enterprise Design Framework which helps teams to design and deliver outcomes.

Over two days, we will exchange practical tools and cases to do just that. We will share stories and new thinking in inspiring talks, take home tools and methods from experienced practitioners in our masterclasses, and ramp up your Enterprise Design skills in our pre-conference workshop.

Join us as participant, contributor or sponsor!

INTERSECTION Conference is brought to you by Enterprise Design Associates in cooperation with IRM.

We are looking for your story related to our theme Joining Forces: overcoming organisational silos, collaborating amongst fields and disciplines, and making change happen together. We are looking for effective teamwork touching a broad range of enterprise design aspects and delivering actual outcomes. Depending on your case, this might include enterprise ecosystem actors and relationships, experience and product/service design, enterprise and business architecture, innovation and design research, organisation design and transformation.

We are looking for 30 minutes presentations (20 minutes talk + 10 minutes Q&A) of your case study by one or two speakers, expecting you to cover the following elements:

  • The design challenge – what was the initial request, what the real underlying issue to be tackled?
  • The Enterprise Design dialogue – how did you engage decision-makers, customers and other stakeholders to identify a direction to move forward?
  • The scope evolution: What aspects of the enterprise did you touch upon as you moved from insights to concepts and solutions? See above.
  • The outcomes – how did you implement your design, how did you address change and measure impact?

Please submit an abstract of fewer than 300 words briefly describing your project and the points mentioned above. All accepted presenters will be able to attend the two days of conference September 24-25 (talks and masterclasses, within limits of capacity), free of charge. Our new deadline for submissions is May 31.

Because of the current situation we are working on a new format for INTERSECTION20. If you have an interesting story that you want to share please submit your case study. Our call for contributions is open until May 31.
